Gerard Wiegman
SKU: 2004 OverviewGerard Wiegman was born in Delfshaven on September 16, 1875, and died in Schiedam on June 28, 1964. He lived and worked mainly in Rotterdam. Was a student of the Academy of Visual Arts there. Painted and drew harbor and river views in the style of Evert Moll. Also made cityscapes and landscapes. Was a member of the Rotterdam Artists Society. Taught JP Baars and AH Eijnsbergen. In National Collection: Harbor view; Botter in harbor; Alley in Schiedam, 1938. (source: Pieter SA. Scheen)
