Jacob Groot (Jac.); born September 11, 1897 in Amsterdam, died November 23, 1984 in Heemstede. Lived and worked in Amsterdam, later in Heemstede. Pupil of the Arts and Crafts School 'Quellinus' and later of the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. Painted, watercolors and drew. Was also advertising designer. Member of 'Art be our goal' in Haarlem. (Max van Waay) For his livelihood, Jacob Groot mainly relied on his advertising work, in which he excelled. He did not go out with his free work that much, and once completed, these magnificent works of art were carefully stored in folders. After years, these folders emerged from his legacy and the works can finally be shown to the public for the first time. All these unique works are sold on our site for very reasonable prices!
